CCTV (PSS) Operation

Introduction

This four day course is designed to assist companies in the provision of Basic Job Training (BJT) that meets the SIA requirements for licensing and NOCN requirements for examination. Delegates will gain an in-depth understanding of the current legislation pertinent to their work and invaluable knowledge relating to the purpose and principles of CCTV surveillance systems.

Who Should Attend

This BJT is appropriate to new entrants to the industry; people transferring from other security functions, those with jobs including some elements of CCTV (PSS) surveillance and existing security staff requiring a qualification, in order to apply for an SIA licence.

The course contains nine modules, covering the following areas:

• Roles and responsibilities

• Codes of practice

• CCTV equipment

• Control room

• Legislation

• Dealing with incidents

• Surveillance

• Fire and emergencies

• Health and safety

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, candidates will have achieved the required level of knowledge and understanding in the areas listed above.
